Foremost and District Historical Society

Foremost and District Historical Society
106  1 Ave East, Foremost, AB  T0K 0X0

We are located beside the Tourist Booth and across from the Library/Seniors' Complex.

Our building has displays of Foremost history, including previous businesses, clubs, people, and events.

The Foremost and District Historical Society has a collection of artifacts and information about the history of Foremost and area.We opened in July 2021, and are continuing to collect artefacts and archival information. We are a work in progress, but happy to have visitors stop in during Tourist Booth hours. The displays are open to the public from May to Sept for individual or group tours.

Watch for the "OPEN" sign or stop at the Tourist Booth and they will let you in.

We have washrooms on site and are wheelchair accessible. Seating areas are available and we have A/C.

Still no admission charge but donations are appreciated.

If you have time during the upcoming 75th Rodeo weekend, we encourage you to check out the Historical Society while you are in town.
Do you know who was the first rodeo Queen?
Do you recognize the name Jack Metheral?
Do you remember the Foremost Golden Jubilee or the Centennial celebration?
We can answer these questions and more. Our history book Shortgrass Country is also available for purchase.
